As the author of The Grouse Camp Chronicles Volume 1, Jed shares lessons learned through grouse hunting and fly fishing, blending storytelling with his love for the outdoors. He also serves as President of the Ruffed Grouse Society Upland Bird Hunt Chapter, where he advocates for environmental stewardship and forest conservation.

Jed Hamberger’s professional journey is rooted in innovation and community collaboration. As Superintendent at Oswayo Valley School District, Jed led the district to national recognition when Oswayo Valley Elementary School received the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School Award for academic performance in the top 15% of schools nationwide. At West Greene School District, he spearheaded transformative initiatives, including the integration of STEM education across all grade levels and partnerships with local industries to provide students with career-ready skills. He also developed a nationally recognized Peer Mentoring Program to address the mental health needs of students.
Beyond the classroom, Jed secured $10 million in state funding for mental health services through advocacy work in Harrisburg. He was then invited by Judge Minor to present a pilot program at the Pennsylvania Justice's Children’s Round Table Summit. His advocacy for student safety contributed to statewide reforms under Act 44 and Act 55, and he developed peer mentoring programs that achieved national recognition for improving attendance and academic outcomes, receiving the Magic of Mentoring National Award.
